A strategic location…

Select a map:

The region’s location is definitely one of its major advantages. Centrally located in the province of Quebec, the Bois-Francs offers strategic access to many major markets. It’s less than an hour’s drive from Quebec City, Trois-Rivières or Sherbrooke. And just 90 minutes to Montreal or the U.S. border. Doing business in New York, Boston or Toronto is well within reach.

The region has an extensive and reliable road network. Highway 55 runs north to the Mauricie region and south to the U.S. border. And the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 20) takes you east to Quebec City and west to Montreal and Toronto.

In addition to several trucking firms, the region is served by the Montreal and Quebec City international airports, and the Victoriaville regional airport, one of the best-equipped regional facilities for handling business jets and small private aircraft. The Trois-Rivières and Bécancour ports are just 60 km away and the Montreal and Quebec City ports a few kilometres more, providing easy access to shipping on the St. Lawrence Seaway and overseas. If rail transportation is better suited to your operations, our region can also accommodate you.
